Selfless Stone

50 Word story-Stone

I am a stone,
Throw me into the river,
Or crush me into powder,
But I will continue to live.
And serve my purpose
Which is to Give,
Shape to your God
Or to create your Abode
This is my selfless life,
Eternally continue to strive
Equanimity is my suit,
My elixir to continue.

P.S.- Not exactly 50 words . I thought not to cut down the words and present it in this form.

I think this is a very good poem. Unfortunately 50-stories are stories and not poetry. I guess I need to be clearer about that. I may use your entry to make this point. Or were you simply using one of the prompts? If that’s the case, this is great. Less is more even in prompts!
